Preface (continued) What happened to the Thunderbird???? As stated earlier I was fifteen at the time that I won the car and was too young to drive it. My parents drove it until 1966 and traded it in on a 1966 Bird and that’s the last I saw of it. Since my return to the hobby many have asked “do you still have the T-Bird” and I have replied with “I don’t have the slightest idea where or if it still exists”. I think if Aurora had not shut me down I might have had thoughts about keeping it for nostalgia purposes but those thoughts never happened. I would love to have the car today, but finding it would be just about impossible. In closing, I hope all that have taken the time to look at all this old stuff have gotten some pleasure from it. I’ve had a lot of fun putting it together and intend to add to it when time permits. I will add that racing Ho slot cars again still gives me a charge and I will forever be grateful for my past experiences with Ford and Aurora, both good and bad.
